Merry Christmas!!!

Sorry for the long time between blogs! I have been busy!!!
Making caramels....YUM!
Going to parties.....this was before Joe's sqadron party a very fancy formal affair....
......and lots and lots of other things!!! We have had a great December and had a wonderful Christmas today. We spent our day at home just the five of us. I have been in my pj's all day! :) It is hard to be away from family but we have come to love the quietness and closeness that spending the day with 'just us' brings. We watched 3 movies and played a LONG game of Monopoly. It was a fantastic day. The kids could not ask for more than they recieved today. We are so blessed!

Quick update...

After falling on Monday I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday. She felt my tailbone, said there was a lot of swelling - so much so that she didn't even need to do an x-ray to know it was fractured or broken! She said we could do x-rays to make sure but either way it didn't really matter as far as how they would treat it. If any of you have ever fallen really hard on your rear you know that there is nothing they can do for a fracture or a break of the tailbone. :( But she did get me some pain medication and I am feeling a LOT better today!!! I don't know why I didn't go in on Monday!!!
So to sum it up I will be sore for several weeks but I will heal and be normal once again. Well as close to normal as it gets for me! ha ha
Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....then I fell down the stairs!

First let me start by saying that I am ok after my crazy fall this morning. Okay not really crazy my feet just slipped out from under me so I slid down the stairs and landed on my rear! Not fun. I was in a lot of pain this morning but I am taking lots of IBProfen and taking it easy and I am feeling better (I'm a teeny bit worried -okay a lot worried!- about having to get out of bed tomorrow morning other than that I think I can handle it). Thank goodness we had deocrated for Christmas on Saturday! :) I LOVE Christmas and having the house all decorated is one of my favortie things. We got a new tree last year after Christmas so this was our first year putting it up and I love it! I love everything about Christmas. The magic, the spirit of it all, the baking, giving gifts, it truly is my favorite time of year. Here are some pictures of our decorations...
The tree Again, with the flash this time.
One of my elves...
a closer up picture, no flash so it's kind of blurry
one of my favorite decorations. The jingle bell wreath on the front door
Joe made this stocking holder 7 years ago. We got new stockings this year - I LOVE THEM~ The elf with the stockings....
The elf putting presents under the tree
Daisy is hoping there are doggie bones for her...

I painted this a few years ago...
the reindeer taking off!
Our house, again kinda blurry but I couldn't use the flash
We had a great thanksgiving and Joe's parents came to visit. We had lots of fun seeing some Christmas lights, playing games, teaching Grandma to play guitar hero, and of course eating until we were stuffed! :) Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.
Now post your Christmas decorations! I want to see your houses too! :)
Merry Christmas~!
