Happy Easter

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday. Lot's of sunshine but it was chilly! We enjoyed a nice morning finding eggs and then we went to church. We went over to our friends house for dinner it was a fun evening. :) Hope you all had a wonderful day as well! Here are a couple of pictures before church. Wow! Two posts in two days! It is a record for me for sure! Just had to add a couple of Haylee funnies...

Today in school we were talking about conflict resolution and some ways that countries could resolve their differences without going to war. Her suggestion "Well, they could play rock, paper, scissors. That's what me and HD do sometimes." I am e-mailing the White House right now...Dear Mr. President, Have you ever thought of solving our differences with other countries by playing rock, paper, scissors? LOL!

Another one is from a couple of months ago when we were actively looking for a house. Haylee's vote was that we should definitely buy one so we could and I quote "Save money and live better, you know like WalMart" Good idea Haylee! :)

Just had to add these so I wouldn't forget them! Hope you enjoy them as well. That girl keeps us smiling that's for sure. :) Have a great weekend!

Making trips to the ER - no worries she was fine. Sierra HATES needles though so the IV was the most traumatic part. She made me promise that I would be with her whenever she had to do anything with a needle for the rest of her life. :)

And last but not least....We have been building card houses!

A couple of Haylee funnies for the past few weeks: The other night she was laying in bed and we were chatting I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up her answer "I am pretty set on being a Ninja." me "wow, that would be pretty cool" her "yeah, but the training would take FOREVER so I'm not sure if I'm going to do that" - she is so funny -being a ninja would be the ultimate if it just didn't take so dang long!

Tonight she was getting in bed and Joe came to tuck her in and she was showing him her new sheets we got today at Target - he said "PINK?" she said "mom decided. I wanted a more manly color" -too much!!!

I was writing a note in my phone to remind myself of something and Haylee asked me who I was texting. I told her no one that I was just writing a note she said "Like, NOTE to self?" then she cracked up. - I know there are many more that I forget to write down! I will try to be better at it! :)

So there ya go! All of our family happenings for the last 8 weeks or so in chronological order! (pretty much!) Thanks for checking out the pictures and reading the whole thing!

Happy April Everybody!

FIFTEEN years ago today

Fifteen years ago today this tiny boy came into our lives. He was born 4 weeks early and weighed just a tiny 5lbs. 3oz. and was 18 and a half inches long. We had no idea that day just what a precious gift we had been blessed with. He was a very happy baby. Such a good little guy for a very young mom who was learning how to do everything. This picture is him at one year old. He only weighed 16 lbs and 13 oz! Still such a little guy!This is one of my favorite pictures of D. He is 2 and a half. What a handsome boy! :) In this picture he is six years old. So handsome and the best 6 year old I could ask for.
This is his third grade picture. He was 8.

I won't embarass him with any more pictures from the past. :) We are SO SO SO grateful to have been given this great kid. I will never be able to put into words how fantastic he really is. At 15 he attends church every week because he wants to not because I make him, he takes his preisthood very seriously, he goes to early morning seminary at 5:30 every morning, again because he wants to not because I make him. He is kind, compassionate, obidient, a loyal friend, a good big brother, and one of the best sons around. We could not ask for a better 15 year old! :)
